TRAINEE PRODUCTION MANAGER
Salary 18k + Monthly Bonus
Magnecor Europe Ltd. is a successful and expanding small business specialising in the production of high quality spark plug / ignition leads for the Motor Racing, High Performance and LPG Conversion markets, both in the UK and Europe. We are also the leader in the production of bespoke / custom sets for the above markets. We operate from modern and clean premises and our team is enthusiastic, friendly and committed. We are based in Appleby Magna, (Jct. 11 – M42), Derbyshire.
We have a vacancy for a capable and committed individual, ideally a qualified Motor Mechanic who may have also progressed to Workshop Foreman, with significant and varied experience with older and current motor vehicles and a thorough understanding of their ignition systems. You will be looking for a new challenge where ‘learning the business’ is crucial, before going forward to manage the team. Learning the ‘art’ of ignition lead assembly will be a vital part of that task.
Personal Calibre:- You will be professional, reliable, honest, hard working and conscientious. You will demonstrate good analytical, problem solving and communication skills, enabling you to deal effectively with customer queries both of a technical and sales nature. Good computer skills in emailing and Excel are essential along with a ‘team player’ mentality. A very good ‘eye for detail’ will be a must, as we are a premium brand and attention to detail is paramount to our product!
A hands-on approach will be required, with full training given in the assembly of standard and bespoke ignition lead sets. Magnecor’s reputation for reliability and attention to detail is second to none in the ‘industry’, and we need an individual whose work ethic reflects these values. Once you can demonstrate competence in our production and assembly techniques, you will progress into a managerial role which will require team leadership, quality assurance, stock control, and support to the Managing Director.
Your salary will rise in relation to how adept you are at applying your skill set gained in the workshop to our particular industry and business ethics.
A monthly bonus based on sales and performance (which may equate to circa £2000 per year), will be offered after a 3 month probation period is satisfactorily completed. This is a full-time vacancy (9am-5.30pm) Monday to Friday.
The position entails a demanding role and we are looking for a ‘high achiever’.
